I even called to make sure it wasn't backordered (both HDHR and the WinTV-QUAD were hard to find in stock). Dell was the only place that said they had the WinTV-QUAD in stock. I didn't want any USB dongles so internal was nice, though hanging a device or two off my network doesn't bother me, I've read people put the HDHR in their attic by their antenna and just run an Ethernet cable to my router. The pricing is what got me to back off, and Hauppauge is a brand I've had before and was always good so I went with the Hauppauge card. As to regretting your decision and getting the WAF make sure whatever setup you go for is tested and running before switching. WIfe approval factor (WAF) played a big role in my decisions. I don't like the ideas of 2 additional boxes, plugs, cables antenna cables. I personally haven't gone with a the home run as I wanted an internal solution that provides 4 tuners. A big bonus of the HDHomerun is not having to worry about the TV guide. For example you don't see haupage offering a emby plugin while HDHomerun worked with them to develop Live TV. I think we see the likes of emby and plex choosing the HDHomerun as they offer a service.
